Grouping/Ungrouping Studies in PowerReader

Grouping studies:
To group studies, highlight both exams and right click to view study options, select group studies.

Secondary option for grouping studies:
To group/ungroup studies, first you must ensure they are in the appropriate status to present grouping options. Studies must either be in ‘IMAGES ON SERVER’ or ‘MISC/TECHSUPPORT’ status in PowerReader.

Grouping Studies (Cont.):
Once in the appropriate status, you will select (double-click) on the study, same as you would to view images. A window will automatically pop up with the option to group studies. Please be aware that the window disappears after 10-15 seconds. In the ‘Group Study Available’ window, you will see the grouping option. To group, you will simply check the unmarked box and select OK. The same instructions can be applied for ungrouping; you would uncheck the box on the secondary exam.

Grouping Studies (Cont.):
If the ‘Group Study Available’ window disappears, you can group from the patient explorer. Again, simply check the unmarked box. The same instructions can be applied for ungrouping; you would uncheck the box on the secondary exam.

The studies are now grouped, and you can close out of the exam. When releasing the studies to the radiologist, studies should move together. If studies are ungrouped, they can be moved separately.
